This vest and Jacket it from a collection not for sale called Gucci Girls. The Gucci Girls are is a fictional gang out of New York City. The inspiration comes from the 80’s ghetto chic era. Though at the time most of us from the hood couldn’t go to the luxury stores and brands. Instead, we brought Luxury to the hood.

Every season I’d like to dedicate a few pieces I’ve created to one of my favorite designers. This spring seasons designer who inspires me is, Harlem’s own Dapper Dan. As a kid I dreamed of owning something made by this legend designer. Dapper Dan was the first man who made it cool to be ghetto fabulous, but with a twist on luxury brands. He in his vision recreated master pieces and made them available to the those in the ghetto. He continues to dedicate himself to the culture. That vision and dedication led me to create these two pieces. Gucci Girls
